Clothing and shoe size converter — EU, US, UK
Our free size converterlets you quickly find out what shoe or clothing size to choose in a foreign shop or when shopping online. Select a category (women's shoes, men's shoes, women's clothing or men's clothing), choose your system and size, and the tool immediately highlights the equivalents in the other systems — EU, US, UK and, for shoes, the insole length in centimetres. The tables are approximate and based on widely accepted standards; sizes can differ between brands, so always confirm your choice against the centimetre measurements given by the specific manufacturer.
How to use the size converter?
Go to the relevant tab — Women's shoes, Men's shoes, Women's clothing or Men's clothing. Then select the size system in which you know your size (e.g. EU), and then the size itself (e.g. 38). The entire row of the table with equivalents in US, UK and other systems is automatically highlighted below. If you are buying shoes, pay particular attention to the Insole length (cm) column — it is the most accurate indicator of the right size, independent of the system.
Frequently asked questions
- Why do sizes differ between brands?
- Each brand may use its own fit and size charts — a size 38 from one manufacturer may correspond to a 39 from another. The tables in our converter are approximate and based on standard norms; always check the centimetre measurements provided by the specific brand.
- How do I measure my foot to choose the right shoe size?
- Stand barefoot on a piece of paper, trace your foot and measure the distance from heel to the longest toe. The shoe insole should be about 1–1.5 cm longer than your foot. It is best to measure in the evening, when your foot is slightly swollen after walking.
- What is the difference between US and UK shoe sizes?
- US and UK systems differ by about ½–1 unit: US size 8 is roughly UK 7 for men. For women, US sizes are about 1.5–2 units higher than their European equivalents. Exact values depend on the manufacturer, so it is always worth checking the specific brand's chart.
- How do I convert S/M/L clothing sizes to EU sizes?
- S/M/L labels (XS–XXL) are international sizes and have no fixed numerical equivalents — S typically corresponds to EU 36–38 for women and 46–48 for men. Use the selector in the tool to instantly see equivalents in all systems.
